Phoenix FC Junior Goalkeeper Academy 2024-2025 (Winter Season)
Age Group: 9 - 12 years old (size 4 ball group)
Program/ Development Overview:
Completely new to goalkeeping? Are you looking to get more confident with the fundamentals? Our academy is the perfect opportunity for aspiring goalies to receive professional training in a fun and engaging environment.
This comprehensive and top-tiered training experience is led by former Canadian Men's National Team Goalkeeper Lars Hirschfeld, with over 25 years of professional playing and coaching experience and holder of a Canadian National B, UEFA B and UEFA Goalkeeping A license.
Participants can benefit from the insights and techniques shared, and we will help you establish good fundamentals and teach you how to best protect yourself while you keep your goal. Technical Overview and Commitment:
The program offers a structured approach through a centralized curriculum to develop key goalkeeping skills. Experienced coaches provide personalized guidance to improve each goalkeeper's abilities and confidence in challenging game situations. Participants will learn goalkeeping technical fundamentals & goalkeeping principles of play. The program's objective is to equip goalkeepers with the necessary skills to thrive in matches, while prioritizing their safety.
Through a centralized goalkeeping program, curriculum is adapted for 8-11-year-olds. Goalkeepers are grouped together in training cohorts according to their skill level. This structured approach ensures that each goalkeeper receives appropriate training tailored to their abilities. By organizing goalkeepers in this way, the program can effectively develop their skills and foster healthy competition among peers regardless of level.
The semester consists of 10 Sessions of 75 minutes in duration.
Coaching:
Qualified licensed coaches, receiving ongoing training, and mentored by Phoenix FC technical staff.

In cases of unforeseen circumstances, rescheduling will be attempted where possible, but not guaranteed.
Cost:
$359 for Phoenix Members (12 x 75-minute sessions)
